Appearance: This dunkel pours a clear yet dark roasted amber color with a medium sized tan head that receded to leave a thin patchy foam hat.
Smell: Dark roasted bready malt, dark chocolate, tea, and spiced citrus round out the aroma profile of this dark Bavarian Lager.
Taste: Smooth roasted caramel malts leads into dark roasted coffee and bitter dark chocolate flavors on the finish. There is a great balance of the intense dark roasted malts with a dark bitterness from the hops.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, with a medium to full body with rather light carbonation.
Drinkability: Smooth, delicious, and easy drinking.
